The MCA shall be conducting the Orientation for the 1^st All India Corporate Law Moot Court Competition-2009 on Wednesday the 16^th of September.

All interested Speakers and Researchers from the National Moot Pool are requested to assemble at the Academic Block at 1-30 PM on the 16^th.

It is hereby notified that the following rules shall govern the Internal Selections for the session of 2009-10 to be held in August 2009.

It may also be dowloaded here in .doc format.

· All participants must submit Memorials/ Written Submissions for both sides.

· All Memorials shall contain the following parts:

1. Cover Page

2. Index

3. Index of Authorities

4. Statement of Jurisdiction

5. Synopsis of Facts

6. Summary of Arguments

7. Arguments Advanced/Pleading (not more than 10 (ten) Pages)

8. Conclusion / Prayer

9. Annexures (if any)

· The Cover Page of the Memorial must state the following:

· The Cause Title

· Identify brief as Appellants or Respondents.

· The Memorial shall be typed on A4 size paper and shall adhere to the following requirements:

· Font type: Times New Roman

· Font size: 12 in 1.5 line spacing & 1 inch margin on each side.

· Footnotes: Font type: Times New Roman, Font Size 10 and Single Line Spacing.

· The Memorial Cover Page should follow the following Colour Scheme:

· Blue : Petitioner

· Red : Respondent

Memorials that do not follow the above mentioned specifications shall be penalised.

· All participants must submit Three (3) copies of the Memorial for each side.

Submission of Memorials

Date : August 4^th, 2009 (Tuesday)

Time : 6.00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Venue : Gyan Mandir

To be submitted to: Ms. Shruti Gurudanti and/or Mr. Tanuj Hazari

The memorial shall also be collected at the venue between 8:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. with a ½ mark penalty, 8:30 P.M. to 8:45 P.M. another ½ marks and 8:45 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a further ½ mark penalty(Maximum 1 ½ marks penalty)

No memorial will be collected after 9:00 P.M..

· Names of the participants should not be revealed in the Memorial in any manner whatsoever.

· The type of paper used for the printing of the memorials is not a criterion for marking of memorials and shall have no bearing on the marks obtained by a participant.

· Annexures may be passed to the bench.

· The Oral Rounds shall be held on 8^th and 9^th of August. The participants shall represent the Petitioners side for the Short-listing round and the Respondents side for the Ranking Rounds.

Further information shall be provided at a later date and the rules may be amended by the MCA as it deems necessary.

Moot Proposition for National Internal Selections 2009-10

This is to inform you that the proposition for the National Moot Pool Internal Selection 2009-10 has been released.

It will be mailed to all participants who have registered with us at mca.nliu@gmail.com.

National Moot Pool 2009-10 Selection

It is hereby brought to your notice that the Moot Problem for the National Moot Court Pool selection for the session of 2009-10 shall be released on the 7^th of May 2009.

 

All interested students are requested to register their Email ID’s with their M.C.A. Batch Representatives or mail us at mca.nliu@gmail.com

 

The competition shall be held in the third or fourth week of july. Further details shall be provided at a later date.
