Orientation to International Pool

1. Oxford Price Moot Court Competition
This moot is being oriented for a team of 2 speakers and 1 researcher. The problem can be accessed at http://pricemootcourt.socleg.ox.ac.uk/…/Price-Moot-2015-16-… and the rules athttp://pricemootcourt.socleg.ox.ac.uk/…/Price-Moot-2015-16-… . The regional rounds of the competition which are held at NLU Delhi will most probably be held from 26-29 November 2015. The draft calendar of the competition (http://pricemootcourt.socleg.ox.ac.uk/…/draft-competition-…/) says that the International Rounds in Oxford should be held from 30 March – Saturday 2 April 2016.
Pool members interested to participate in the competition need to send in an email to the mca.nliu@gmail.com latest by 11:59 pm- 27th August 2015.

Sastra School of Law, Sastra University is organising the The 5th Tarka Sastra National Moot Court Competition from 18th to 20th September, 2015. The soft copy submission is due on 9th September, 2015.

MOOTING DEMONSTRATION
As had been informed in the earlier post dated 7th August, the MCA will hold a mooting demonstration tomorrow in Academic Block - I from 4pm-6pm. The problem on which the demo would be based has been attached to this post. It is highly advisable for all first time mooters especially first years interested in the Fresher's Pool or mooting in general, to attend the demonstration. In the demonstration, students will also be taught to use manupatra and indiankanoon to search relevant case laws related to a moot problem.

Christ Researcher Test

RESEARCHER TEST FOR THE CHRIST MOOT
The researcher test for the 6th Annual National Moot Court Competition (SLCU-NMCC), 2015 will be held on 11th August 2015.
Time: 2-3 pm
Venue: Gyan Mandir, 3rd Floor

Fresher's Pool Moot Proposition

The Moot Proposition for the Fresher's Pool can be accessed at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Gh1N3M9FkRbGx2WTZvNnJXdTQ/view?usp=sharing . The detailed rules governing the Fresher's Pool selections will be uploaded in the next week. However, the submission of memorials will be around 31st August.

The Moot Proposition has been made by Ashima Gulati (Convener- CSIPR). The problem related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). CSIPR is holding the first lecture of the CSIPR Lecture series tomorrow at 8:30 am in Academic Block-I. It will be conducted by Mr. Apurv Mishra (Batch of 2012). In the coming weeks, CSIPR will hold more lectures on the subject matter of the problem.

MCA will hold a demonstration on mooting on 12th August from 4pm - 6pm in Academic Block-I. Besides the mooting demonstration, a formatting lecture will also be held in the next week. The precise time and venue of the formatting lecture will be informed later.

All the participants are urged to attend all the above lectures as it will directly relate to the Fresher's Pool. Requesting help from seniors outside the scope of these lectures will entail penalty and negative marking.
