5th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Research Paper Competition, 2009

The MCA has received an invitation from the Government Law College, Mumbai requesting participation in the 5th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Research Paper Competition, 2009. It is jointly organised by the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners(AIFTP) and theIncome Tax AppellateTribunal(ITAT) Bar Association with the Government Law College Mumbai.

The Topic for the research paper is -

"Transfer pricing Regulation - Confluence and Conflict between India, OECD and other countries - comparative study"
-Associated Enterprises
-Scope - International Transaction
-Method of Computation of ALP
-Record Keeping
-Suggestion for either to improve

Students may refer to the following Publications as guidelines for the Research Paper:

5.Transfer Pricing by CCH Deloitte Team
6.Transfer Pricing by Bombay Chartered Accountant Society

8.New Tax Code

Participants are free to contact any lawyers or Chartered Accountants.
The top three papers of the competition shall be given cash prizes and certificates of merit.

Since every college may only send two entries and each article may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors there will be an internal shortlisting to select two papers that would represent the University. All interested participants may register with the MCA by sending an e-mail to mca.nliu@gmail.com. The subject should read - Registration - 5th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Research Paper Competition.

The papers, .doc or .pdf format, are to be submitted to the MCA by 20th of October 5:00 PM by email. Two papers will be selected by a committee specially constituted for this purpose.
Participation is open to all students and not just members of any Moot Pool.
